Special event of the National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan Republic entitled «Days of Victory» dedicated to the winners and prize-winners of the First European Games is ongoing.
The Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee Chingiz Huseynzade, telling us about leadership of Azerbaijani sportsmen in European Games, said that athletes have opened a new page of history by their brilliant victories.
The Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov, congratulated the winners and said that the materials about the European Games are broadcast in prime news agencies of the world and that he hopes that athletes will continue to worthily represent Azerbaijan further too. President of the Azerbaijan National Karate Federation Yashar Bashirov, in an interview at the event, broadcasted live by the «Lider» TV channel, spoke about the achievements of karate.
Athletes, pleased the fans with their victories, were awarded with special prizes of NOC. Medalists put their signatures on a specially installed booth. The participants of the «Days of Victory» event came to the park, located opposite the Heydar Aliyev Palace and laid flowers at the monument of Heydar Aliyev.
