JUNIOR AND YOUTH TO PARTICIPATE AT THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

     Azerbaijani karatekas will take part at the 9th World Karate Cadet, Junior and U21 Championships, held in Jakarta, Indonesia. Our athletes, carrying out final preparations for the upcoming prestigious competitions, will travel to Indonesia in the team of 18 people.

     In 14-15 years age group in the competition will take part nominated by head coach Anar Allahverdiyev - Nuri Aliyev (- 50 kg), Gummet Bakhshaliyev (- 57 kg) and Fidan Teymurova (- 47 kg). Also 12 athletes ages 16-17 and 18-20 years under the leadership of head coach of the youth team Shahin Khudaverdiyev will join competitions. Eldjan Mamedrzaev (-61 kg), Isa Mamedov (-68 kg), Elman Babayev (-76 kg), Murad Hajizade (+76 kg) and Farida Aliyeva (+59 kg) will fight for the victory among 16-17 years participants and Ulvi Gurbanov (- 60 kg), Shahin Guluzade (-67 kg), Vusal Kyamally (- 75 kg), Nadjmaddin Bunyatov (-84 kg), Sarhan Guluzade (+84 kg), Faria Abiyeva (- 61 kg) and Irina Zaretskaya (- 68 kg) - 18-20 years. The kata competition will be attended by students of the head coach Vahid Ayazov: Jeyhun Ismayilov, Roman Heydarov and Rafik Amirov.

Prior to the tournament the referee of the international category Yusif Mammadov, Jahangir Babayev, Vugar Kerimov, Renad Aliyev and Nargiz Mehtiyeva will pass the exam to the Judicial Committee of the World Karate Federation (WKF) for professional development. Competitions will be served by 211 judges.

     The delegation, headed by the President of the National Karate Federation and member of the Technical Committee of the WKF of Azerbaijan Yashar Bashirov, includes the Secretary General Mirdjabbar Seyidov, the judge of the federation Parvin Akperov, as well as for the operational reporting of the information from the World Championship, the Secretary for Media and Public Sanan Maharramov.

     The 9th World Championship, which will take place from 12 to 15 November, will be attended by 1425 karatekas from 94 countries. Our athletes went to visit on November 9 will return to Baku on November 17.
