Women's national team of Azerbaijan, represented by Irina Zaretsky, Farida Abiyeva, Ilaha Gasimova and Nurana Aliyeva, the first time in its history, reached the final of the European Championship competitions.
Azerbaijan women's team advanced to the semifinals, beating Portugal team (7 : 1), Russia (8: 5), and Finland (6 : 3).
