Member of the junior-youth team won 8 medals at the international tournament in Croatia. Five of medals are gold and three - bronze.
Tale Yagubov (juniors 14-15 years old, -52 kg), Eldjan Mamedrzaev (-60 kg), Asiya Melikova (-50 kg) and Irina Zaretskaya (+68 kg, all three members of the youth team 18-20 years) and Sahib Akhadov (among senior athletes with disabilities) walked onto the top step of the podium of honor of 26th «Grand Prix», held in the city of Samobor in Croatia. Madina Sadygova (juniors 14-15 years old, -47 kg), Vusal Kamally (-75 kg) and Farida Aliyeva (+68 kg, both of youth category 18-20 years) took third place. Another 5 athletes missed the victory in the fight for the bronze.
The more important competition to be held on 17-19 February in Sofia, Bulgaria - the next European Championship is waiting the national team, consisting of juniors and youth. Our athletes continue training for the upcoming competition under the guidance of team coaches Anar Allahverdiyev, Gurban Tagiyev, Shahin Hudaverdiev, Vahid Ayvazov and Vugar Karimov.
