In the course of his next visit to Baku, President of the World and European Karate Federation, Antonio Espinos and the Secretary General of the European Karate Federation Stjepan Selan, met with the Chairman of the Board of the General Sponsor of the National Karate Federation (NKF), the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) Jahangir Hajiyev.
The meeting was also attended by the President of NKF Yashar Bashirov. J. Hajiyev said that in the country at the state level is provided the support to the development of sports, good results in the field of sport have been achieved thanks to the special attention of the Head of State and President of the National Olympic Committee, Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
A. Espinos said he was pleased with the growing year on year success of karate in Azerbaijan, said that the activities of the Federation may serve as an example for many countries and also noted that he believes that the Azerbaijani athletes will take high places in European Games. He also expressed appreciation to the sponsor, the management of IBA for their full support. At the meeting, Antonio Espinos presented an official badge to the new member of the Technical Committee of the World Karate Federation (WKF) Yashar Bashirov.
At the end of the meeting the guests were presented with gifts, showing symbols of Azerbaijan.
