In Baku, 43rd National Karate Federation on the official event was represented by the President Yasar Bashirov and First Vice-president Ilham Gasymzadeh. The President of the World and European Karate Federation, Antonio Espinos and the Secretary General of the European Karate Federation Stjepan Selan arrived in Baku to participate in 43rd European Olympic Committee.
On the eve of the General Assembly, the President of the NKF Yashar Bashirov and the First Vice President I. Gasymzadeh, together with the guests met with members of the Organizing Committee of the Baku 2015 First European Games. From the Organizing Committee of the European Games at the meeting was also attended by Sports Director Pier O'Callaghan, General Assembly of the European Olympic Committee started the work. The General Assembly of the Chairman of the Coordination Committee Spyros Capralos, Sports Team Competitions Manager Mark Mateer, Sports Consultant Makis Asimakopoulos, Sport Competition Manager Dmitry Chigenev and Sports Specialist Aytan Zeynalova.
Officials at the meeting discussed the preparatory work and technical questions regarding the karate competitions at the European Games. In addition, it was decided to hold VI «Baku Open» International Tournament as test events for the European Games in April 2015.
