Leaders of the National Karate Federation of Azerbaijan held a meeting with members of the team sent to the 22nd World Championship, which will be held on November 5-9 in the German city of Bremen.
The President of the Federation Yashar Bashirov said at the meeting that the tournament is very responsible and he has a confidence in athletes who are favorites of the Championship. Yashar Bashirov conveyed the wishes and advice of the board chairman of the general sponsor of the Federation, the International Bank of Azerbaijan, Jahangir Hajiyev to the participants of the competition, reminded the meeting that our team has become European Champion in the team competition in the 20th anniversary of Federation, said that he is waiting for the continuation this success.
Head Coach of the national team, honored coach Rahman Hatamov and his assistant Rashad Huseynov said that the athletes are completely ready for the World Championship both from a psychological as well as from the tactical and technical side. Physical training coach, karate veteran Oktay Mammadov said that the athletes are in perfect physical shape. Chairman of the Judicial Committee, a judge of the international category Jahangir Babaev said that at the upcoming World Championship for the first time Azerbaijan will be represented by 6 of our judges of the international category. Secretary for the Press and Public, Sanan Maharramov said that the World Championship will have a powerful media support, he also noted that the leadership of the Federation has invited the creative team of the world famous Russian TV channel «Fighter». The captain of the National Team Shahin Atamov on behalf of his teammates, said that they will make every effort to return home with high achievements, as it was in past tournaments.
After the speeches, the Federation leadership wished the athletes good luck. National Team, went to Germany on 3 November will return home on 11th of the same month.
