The Baku Open Championship among Cadets and Juniors came to an end in «Sarhadchi» Olympic Sports Complex. At the competitions, organized by the Association of Karate-do Federations of Azerbaijan and the National Karate Federation, together with the General Directorate of Youth and Sports of Baku city, participated 175 juniors of 23 clubs from different regions.
The last day of tournament, young athletes aged 18-20 years entered the tatami. In the unofficial team competition the first place took karatekas of «Gara Gaplan» Sports Club, which won a total of 23 medals, 10 of which were gold, 6 - silver and 7 - bronze. The Central School of Karate was second, winning 3 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze medals, «Phoenix» Club won the third place with 3 gold and 1 bronze medal. Prize called «Persistent Fighter», established by the general sponsor, the International Bank of Azerbaijan, was granted to the representative of Agdjabedi, Lazym Allahverdiyev.
Champions and distinguished athletes were involved in the national team and they will prepare for the European Championship, which will take place in February.
